Co-operative Energy chooses Contigo’s cloud-hosted ETRM solution
We are delighted to announce the UK’s largest customer-owned energy supplier, Co-op Energy, has chosen our cloud-hosted Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) solution enTrader® to improve efficiency and flexibility in their energy trading.
Co-op Energy is part of the Midcounties Co-operative; the largest independent co-operative in the UK, and offers a range of electricity and gas tariffs, including a 100% green electricity option. It has joined the growing number of businesses moving away from the use of spread-sheets and taking advantage of the benefits of cloud-deployed ETRM.
Contigo voted number one for ease of implementation
The results are out for this year’s prestigious Energy Risk software rankings and Contigo are winners! Named number one for ease of implementation. Our winning streak has not ended here; we have also been awarded number two for best cloud based CTRM/ETRM solution and have been voted in the top five globally across ten other categories.
Real-time position data - an essential tool in a challenging energy market
Managing Director of Contigo, Adrian Bullock, comments on why real-time position data is essential to your business success and how best to achieve this through your ETRM systems.
“Energy trading is increasingly complex and taking place at a faster pace. As a result, the industry’s business processes continue to change significantly and more organisations are investing in ETRM systems that provide the flexibility to grow and evolve with the business. However, there is one significant new software capability that, despite its ability to deliver enormous benefits and competitive advantage, is not being fully utilised.“
Contigo works with Lacima
We are excited to announce our successful work with award-winning energy and commodity analytics specialist, Lacima, to offer a new risk engine embedded in its enTrader® ETRM system.
Lacima is a widely recognised energy and commodity analytics software provider, and this is the first time that the company has embedded part of its risk functionality into an ETRM system. Our new enTrader® Analytics Module calculates Value at Risk (VaR) at any given time, giving risk mangers the information they need to put into place appropriate risk management strategies.
